I have been working within the IT industry for the past 26 years, approximately 18 years of which have been in positions focusing on IT Security, predominantly in the Financial Services sector.My career to date has seen me in a number of different roles, allowing me to have exposure to and the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge across a broad range of different technological domains. Whilst my primary focus throughout the years has been on security, it has not detracted from a want to understand the technologies I am exposed to at a deeper level, further than just what is required to understand any security implications. I am a techie at heart, with a head for security.I have found having broad spectrum of technological knowledge is advantageous in cross-technology projects allowing me to identify dependencies and potential risks ahead of time.My core strengths are in strategy, architecture & solution design, consultancy, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
