Junior Devops Specialist
Product Delivery Specialist
As a product delivery specialist each day brings about new and exciting challenges. Work that I have done can vary from pulling data for client facing team members to scripting and mounting new content for the product that I provide support for. I have also worked with aspects of AWS and enjoy the Dev Ops side of things as well. I have built several web UI tools to help aid client facing team members be more independent.
Programmer Analyst - Practicum
During my time on practicum with Service New Brunswick I worked on an application that was built in an a C#/ASP.Net environment, using MVC5 architecture and Entity Framework 6. It was a really exciting and enjoyable time for me as each day brought new challenges that required me to research and learn how the architecture and framework worked together. The application also featured an MS SQL back-end. Overall this was a great experience for me and I feel it provided great experience prior to graduation.
Guest Service Agent
In my role as GSA, I was responsible for running the front end of the store. In the mornings I would perform cash office tasks such as setting up deposits and counting the safe, and also setting up the money for each register for the following day. I was responsible for making sure customers had a great experience with our cashiers and would not have to go through the hassle of waiting in long lines. I would call upon the assistance of team members off the sales floor if it ever got backed up. I was also responsible for bringing the cashiers for bills and coin for the register. If there was ever an issue with a customer I would help to resolve the issue to the best of my abilities so that the customer would leave happy.
Brand Attendant
I performed daily tasks such as washroom checks and collecting shopping carts. I would help cover breaks for cashiers as well as the cashier supervisor or GSA as it was known at Target. I also would crush cardboard in the baler in back of the store and make the bales as well. I also helped put out stock, and set up planograms. I also helped put away the overstock. I helped customers with their inquiries and also put away returns back to the shelf. I was eager to move up in the company though and that's where my promotion came in.
Shipper/Receiver
In this promotion I was responsible for helping to unload the trucks of merchandise and stage them to go out to the sales floor. I was responsible making sure parcels were shipped and received from various vendors such as DHL and Purolator. I was also responsible for receiving merchandise such as milk and potato chips from vendors as well. In the end this job was merged with the Picker/Slotter position so I was responsible for all of these tasks as well as the Picker/Slotter responsibilities.
Picker/Slotter
I was responsible for completing daily lists of pulling stock from the stockroom and staging it for other associates to put out on the shelves. I would also place overstock into the computer system by scanning it and storing it in a location until it needed to be pulled for replenishment. I also would complete lists from management that had items that would be transferred to other stores and would stage the merchandise to be shipped out.
Maintenance
I was responsible for daily tasks such as checking washrooms and bringing in shopping carts. I normally had a list of tasks to complete by end of each shift as well. These tasks included filling stack outs, filing shelves, building counters to hold more stock during seasonal times. I would also perform carry outs of large items such as patio sets and televisions for customers.
