I have been involved in Environmental projects for large and small scale developments across the globe since 2003.While in leading roles at consultancies I managed ecological and ornithological assessment work, principally involving the preparation of EIAs and Habitat Regulations Appraisals (HRAs) for onshore and offshore wind farm proposals and other large and small-scale developments and provided strategic advice on planning constraints, mitigation and monitoring. Advised clients on a range of ecological issues including interpretation of data and highlighting relevant legislative obligations, as well as representation at public inquiry and DCO examination. Previously, a research ecologist in the Wetland and Coastal Ecology Unit of the British Trust for Ornithology. Experience included the design and implementation of ornithological research into local and national waterbird populations, including conducting surveys, data management and analysis, and publication of results in peer-reviewed journals and in the public arena.
