• ValueStar was an offline and online provider and publisher of ratings for quality local service firms. The Company underwent a change in ownership in late 2001.DUTIES:
• Responsible for all aspects of Accounting & Finance, HR, and Information Technology.
• Liaised with outside auditors, implemented internal controls, prepared due diligence packages for venture capital and private equity financings, assisted part-time CFO to prepare quarterly and annual reports on Forms.
• Managed project that merged three corporate databases (finance, CRM and prospect database) into a single database. Tasks involved contract negotiation, identifying common fields, setting up custom records in the new.
• Led a team that engineered a financial transaction-matching application to track and report against purchases and ratings between member consumers, member service companies, credit card companies and merchant.
• Completed extensive due diligence responses, including modeling and forecasting, for four private equity rounds which included investments from six institutional investors, raising over $36 million in private equity.

• As Controller of James Old & Son through 1994, I was responsible for accounting/finance, human resources, IT and warehouse operations.
• As Operations Manager of the consolidated Silicon Valley Shelving/James Old & Son (1995-1998), with double the revenues, I was responsible for warehouse operations, internal audit, and subcontract.
• Promoted to Controller within a year (1993) of being hired as the accounts receivable clerk.
• As Operations Manager of the consolidated company, I implemented an inventory demand-forecasting module within the accounting software that increased inventory turnover by 150%.
