CurrentAcquire, edit, and project manage 15+ trade and licensed children's books per year across categories, with primary focus on illustrated formats. Champion picture book backlist. Facilitate in-house IP development. Maintain relationships with licensors such as Disney and NBCUniversal; manage both creative and business requirements, including asset development and approval. Generate P&Ls, acquisitions materials, fact sheets, and marketing copy. Hire and manage freelance writers. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior editors. Negotiate deal terms for agented acquisitions and licensing deals. Oversee operational best practices such as metadata maintenance and embargo processes within budget group. Present at key meetings such as Acquisitions, Seasonal Focus, and Sales Conference. Represent company at industry and industry-adjacent conferences and events.
