In this role I developed a business model which operated between sub-contractors and large organisations to meet the highest standards in terms of quality and service whilst stripping away many of the difficult capital costs which ultimately drag down businesses. I used my contacts to reduce costs and build in a supply function to work alongside the primary business function. The result was that I was able to increase turnover from £400K PA to £1.8M. I won business from large commercial centres & offices in the City of London including Deutsche Bank (21 offices in the City), Reuters, British Banking Association, as well as public sector works for schools and councils and some prestigious hotels.

I incorporated this business in 1992. Beginning from concept with minimal capital investment, I set out to turn my business idea into a reality. I identified potential customers and worked hard to develop relationships with them. At the same time, I worked to gain backing from various key manufacturers. These relationships allowed me to offer something unique and valuable to key target sectors of industry. I secured business from major Blue Chip organisations throughout the South East of England by exploiting clear gaps I had identified in the market. The organisation supplied a broad range of industrial consumables to prestigious industry along the Thames Corridor including Tate & Lyle, Industrial Chemicals, Britvic Soft Drinks, Shell Oil UK Ltd, B.P., Essex & Suffolk Water, Barking Power, etc. My sales strategies took the company to £2 million turn over P.A. I developed and implemented systems for the full range of business functions, developed my knowledge of employment law and HR practice and also the legalities of business management in an industrial environment. I developed relationships with large organisations, grew their spend and retain many of these contacts today. I sold my shares in 2010 to concentrate on new business ventures and academic development.
