• Confer with doctors and nurses and take orders for patient transport activities
• Assist patients move out of their beds, wheelchairs, stretchers or medical transport vans
• Provide physical support to patients attempting to walk their way to a procedure room
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families by listening to them and showing compassion and understanding
• Talk emotionally challenged or disturbed patients throughout the transport time with a view to put their minds at ease
