The Leon Levine Foundation supports nonprofits across the Carolinas. Its grantmaking is focused on four mission areas: education, healthcare, human services, and Jewish values. I lead the Foundation's investment program and am responsible for its manager selection and asset allocation across public and private markets. I am also building the Foundation's impact investment capabilities, aligning its investing work with its grantmaking priorities.

Managed investment portfolios for endowed nonprofits, colleges and universities, religious groups, and hospitals between $50 million and $8 billion in assets, as well as a $375+ million family office.Allocated market-rate portfolios integrating sustainability; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations; religious screens; and other impact criteria. Led both in-person and virtual client meetings. Presented capital markets analysis, asset allocation and investment manager recommendations, as well as details of portfolio performance and impact.Wrote due diligence reports for public equity, hedge fund, and private investments – as well as niche opportunities. Led manager meetings, guided on-site manager reviews, and wrote meeting comments. Recent diligence included long-only equity, small business lending, as well as alternative housing and education finance.

From January 2014 to December 2015 I worked as a part of a boutique investment office housed within Cambridge Associates. We provided portfolio management services to a range of clients, focused principally on high net worth families. We also worked with a handful of long-standing foundation and university clients. Our group managed both outsourced investment office (OCIO) and traditional consulting relationships (non-discretionary).
