My 13 years of experience in the public sector have provided me with invaluable tools that enable organizations to create more efficient business processes, and achieve their strategic and operational goals on time and within budget.Surprisingly, my education and career are the most conventional things about me. I've always been a bit of a rebel; questioning the status quo, and continually searching for innovative solutions to problems. Because civil service is my way of contributing to society, I’m inherently motivated to improve government services through my passion of changing public perception of government and what it means to work inside the public sector. I motivate my fellow team members by fostering their connection with the work they do.   Though my history lies in government, I'm a lifelong learner who can’t help but share my enthusiasm to learn with those who I manage and work alongside. Currently, I'm independently learning and developing skills in mobile and web development, and actively thinking about how these tools for progress can be used to fill gaps in the public sector as well as the Canadian economy. Because of my motivation to expand my knowledge, I find that I am an effective communicator across both technical and business stakeholder teams.  My local government career has spanned various departments and challenges that translate well across private and public sectors.
