I believe in setting people up for success.This is how I started my career: I was given a chance to start at the beginning, and to build myself up as I went. I learned by following in the steps of mentors and colleagues who supported me and allowed me to gain my own learnings and follow through on my ideas. And so as I've been given responsibility, commercially and leadership, my focus has always been to grow the team from within.So far it's proven its worth: I've been lucky enough to see my team members develop from fresh graduates to being able to hand over hiring manager responsibilities their way in under a year. I've then been able to coach them through the process and make sure that they have the knowledge, as well as freedom and responsibility, to make it their own.The exciting thing here is that I've been able to show that we can transfer skills, and make a pathway to help ambitious, high potential colleagues into the next steps of their careers.What motivates me here is that this investment starts with colleagues from within, and the risks I take is to make sure that we invest in our people as much as possible - and give them every chance possible to get them to succeed.
