Managed throughput and quality for paint shop operations. Managed workforce of 70 hourly and salaried staff. As business manager, supported daily operations through management of business plan deployment processes, labor movement and efficiency improvements.Selected accomplishments:• Achieved daily production and quality targets, enabling build of vehicles for plant at target rate.• Managed through multiple challenging discipline situations, in partnership with union leadership and salaried team leaders, resulting in hourly leadership changes to improve working environment.

Managed and coordinated HR, business planning, and budget planning for department of 110 employees. Coordinated global and regional staff meetings as well as offsite and face-to-face meetings.Selected accomplishments:• Led team submitting proposals to US government for 2 new technologies for potential funding assistance, resulting in positive feedback from federal reviewers.• Partnered with Missouri University of Science & Technology to launch internal certificate training program for new employees to train paint engineering skills required at GM but not typically available at universities.• Led recruiting, interviewing / hiring and onboarding for new employees, resulting in 15 new employees joining team (with positive experiences and feedback).• Partnered with faculty to form Science Olympiad team at local junior high school, allowing 15 students to prepare for and compete at regional tournament.
