Ensures system security controls are established and maintained.♦ Ensures that the employee master file is accurate and timely by developing procedures to maintain data integrity and confidentiality, and editing accordingly. ♦ Monitors daily data input and follows-up on problems. Develops procedures for, and conducts, periodic review to include a semi-annual audit of the employee master file. ♦ Develops and revises ad hoc, production, and statistical information reports to include HR metrics, scorecards, and employee demographics. Determines reporting needs of a functional area, reviews it for operational and/or service enhancement(s), and responds accordingly. Concisely documents the development of the reports.♦ Maintains accurate position and staffing information. Works closely with department heads and the Finance Department to assure accurate staffing and vacancy information. Reports full staffing roster information to the house on a monthly basis.Establishes and maintains individual security levels for HR systems/applications.♦ Maintains HR Standard Forms, their format and availability on Starport.♦ Maintains the WHC component of the MedStar Organizational Parameters database. Updates as required and conducts semi-annual audits of the data.♦ Orients departmental employees to computer applications and HR systems, as appropriate. Trains departmental personnel in and/or provides assistance in the advanced use of computer applications. Serves as a staff resource for special projects such as mass mailings, customized mass correspondence, presentation visuals, and newsletters.♦ Determines computer application/system needs for HR. Researches, evaluates, and recommends updates to departmental hardware/software. Installs and/or coordinates the installation of new equipment/software on departmental personal computers. Show less
