New schemes of work have been introduced to reflect the changes in the 2014 National Curriculum and there has been an enormous focus on reading with a large investment in the Oxford Reading Tree, both in the fiction/non fiction genres.Steering the primary team towards 'outstanding' and recognising the importance of the middle leaders, I established Core Curriculum Leaders to oversee the areas of Maths, English, Science and ICT, linking the primary school with the secondary school for all-through coverage.
