Serve the primary purpose of supporting students’ individual wellbeing as well as the collective student culture of the division. Resolve conflict through restorative practices, a growth mindset, and in partnership with families and community.

Review the teacher certification degrees and state certification content to make sure that it is as accurate and up-to-date as possible and make recommendations for changes where applicable. Depending on the page and information, consultation with secondary sources may be utilized.

I am a transcriptionists/editor in which I transcribe recorded audio and edit imperfect transcription using 3PlayMedia's proprietary internet-based software application. I provide expert transcribing services independently as well as quick turnaround on a finished work product. All projects are always up for audit.

Oversee all aspects of the campaign including day-to-day operations, the hiring and management of staff, the coordination and implementation of the fundraising operations and ongoing coordination with the candidate. Work with the campaign treasurer and candidate to create and manage the campaign budget and all marketing materials.

Assisting the instructional design team in the development and translation of Anxiety and Parenting online learning courses. Includes formatting and organization of media assets, building the courses on Rise360, and adhering to a high level of accessibility for all learners, including those who are Spanish and Portuguese-speaking.

I travel to four elementary schools each week to instruct woodwind, brass, and percussion students in private or semi-private lessons. I conduct large ensembles rehearsals each week, four concerts per year, and offer students extended performance opportunities with our solo & ensemble recital. I created and currently maintain our department's website and social media accounts in order to better communicate with all community stakeholders. In addition to my teaching duties, I mentor new teachers in the district as well as provide additional educational experiences to district student teachers. I participate in a number of district-wide committees, including school leadership, interview, scheduling, positive behavior supports, PLC, school referendum and wellness. In 2019-2020, I assisted in creating a school Vision Cycle (similar to SIP) including staff presentation and defining data measures to quantify results as well as implementing the CHAMPS system school-wide to encourage positive student behavior.

Organizing IEA members of the Region 64 schools in advocating for better educational policy. Some of my work includes connecting with related legislative personnel, meeting elected members of office and educational lobbyists, and organizing political action including canvasses, phone banks, and meet-and-greets to further promote positive educational change.

Direct the middle school summer music program in Naperville 203. Included frequent communication with families and staff members, ordering, organization and distribution of materials to students and staff, and preparation for cumulative performances. Groups consist of Cadet Band (2nd year students), Intermediate Band (3rd year students), Advanced Band (students with 4+ years of experience), and Jazz Band.

As the cumulative internship experience to my Educational Administrative degree, I assumed the role of summer school principal. In this position, I facilitated the organization of academic and social-emotional data for every student in one elementary building from school year 2019-2020 to school year 2020-2021, which included collaboration with classroom teachers and the building principal. I organized and distributed materials and manipulatives for the summer Jump Start program to families and communicated distribution efforts with summer school staff. As part of the efforts to make summer school adaptable during the pandemic, I developed virtual field trips using SeeSaw that would meet the Jump Start integrity standards and distributed these to staff. I also assisted the building principal in the creation of the 2020-2021 school master schedule.

Coordinate with my instrumental music colleagues to create and maintain a daily schedule that includes beginning band lessons at four elementary schools, lessons at two junior high schools, and instructional time with the marching band at the high school. As the assistant director for the Rock Island marching band, I communicated with students and families, organized transportation for competitions, and mediated conflict amongst students. I arranged pop pieces every year for our combined 6-12 concert to create a community experience for all band students. I coached solo and ensemble groups as well as prepared students for upcoming auditions. I accompanied students on piano for solo contests and was in demand as a clinician at surrounding school district. In order to provide students with 21st century learning skills, I wrote grants to incorporate new music technologies such as SmartMusic into their daily lessons.

I teach thirty minute private lessons on the saxophone and clarinet to students of all age and ability level. I maintain a student base of about twenty musicians weekly between both of my studios.
