I am a recent retiree from Marine Engineer’s Beneficial Association, having completed a thirty year career as a ship’s engineer, operating and maintaining all shipboard equipment while traveling the world on the ships for various companies under Union contract. I am a U.S.C.G. Licensed Chief Engineer certified to work steam, diesel, and gas turbine marine power plants Unlimited Horsepower worldwide. I have extensive experience with operations, maintenance, overhaul, preventive and predictive maintenance of many types of heavy machinery. I also have numerous certifications received during ongoing training and education, including ISA Certified Controls Technician Level II, Certified Refrigeration & Recovery Technician Universal Grade, as well as many others. I am currently seeking a second career working in a shoreside environment, for which I believe I am well qualified by my previous experience and training. I am very interested in pursuing a career as a controls tech, facilities management/maintenance engineer,or a related position. Shipboard work for many years has helped me develop an excellent work ethic, managerial skills and time management which I think would be an asset to any company with open positions in my field. I am also open to new ideas, further training, additional licensing, travel, and flexible hours.
