My responsibilities included monthly review of 10+ subsidiary entities financial reports to ensure accuracy and reasonableness, as well as disclosure preparation for Earnings Release's and Quarterly Filings.I also worked with First Data Corp. during the summers of 2008 and 2010. During the course of my three internships, I worked through four quarterly filings preparing multiple different footnote disclosures and tie-outs. Also, my monthly review of the subsidiaries within my care included analysis of balance sheet and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy in reporting consolidation.

As an internal auditor I gained experience performing operational audits regarding various processes involved in the utility billing processes. As part of the accounting department, I prepared adjusting journal entries for various year-end financial statement account balances.Gained experience about SAS 70 reporting while working with external auditors to assist in gathering data for fieldwork testing.

During the course of my internship, I worked on multiple engagements in several different industries including financial services, manufacturing, medical services, coal mining, and cable provider services.My duties as an intern gave me the opportunity to perform analytical and detailed testing procedures over various balance sheet and revenue accounts in order to gain sufficient comfort over the reported balance. Some of the areas that I tested include: Cash, AR, AP, Prepaids, Payroll Expense, and Revenue.

My daily responsibilities included reconciling check receipts and credit card payments in the ledger system for individual residents to ensure correct amounts were deposited to the bank.
