Technical lead for the Personnel and Automation teams. - Designed and led the development of the Service Provider Dashboard, a multi-tenant system for MSPs and support personnel to manage companies, which was delivered on time and with a high quality bar.- Designer and technical lead for the Global Authentication project. This was delivered on schedule and timed to coincide with our Data Residency initiative for the UK rollout of our products.

Backend developer and technical lead for the Connected Accounts team, responsible for ensuring the company’s capital products have highly available data from financial providers.- Wrote a policy how to make technical decisions that are prone to “bike shedding” such as choosing a programming language. This led to increased objectivity and reduced decision time on these decisions.- Led the integration of Saltedge, a European banking data provider. This work enabled the company’s Germany launch.- Designed a full redesign of the Connected Accounts system, including a step-by-step migration plan. When completed, this work will enable the team to maintainably scale the number of integrations by an order of magnitude, while increasing the reliability and observability of the system.- Addressed critical integration issues as necessary, including cases of rescuing multi-million dollar deals on tight timeframes.

Full-stack developer and technical leader for the company’s flagship Customer Relationship Management system.- Implemented a Change Policy to govern the evolution of the company’s APIs. This policy created a consensus on the team leading to streamlined planning of upcoming features.- Planned a transition of the release process to Continuous Delivery. The transition went smoothly and greatly increased the company’s release cadence from the prior weekly schedule.- Designed an adaptive flow control algorithm to regulate the ingestion of data from Sherlock (a newly-acquired company) into Copper’s systems. This work enabled Copper to complete a major milestone in Sherlock’s acquisition process.- Improved the observability of the Webhook delivery jobs for our operations and support teams. This greatly improved our Support team’s ability to diagnose Webhook delivery issues, and led to further improvements to the Webhook system.

This work was a critical component of the user experience, and is used many millions of times a month with few operational issues.- Led a cross-team effort to transition the calling and messaging functionality in the Alexa apps for iOS and Android to React Native.
