Running The Mainly Mental Health Company brings me into contact with a wide variety of businesses. I made the leap to launching my own Training & Consultancy business after spending 15 years providing specialist employment and training services in and around Surrey for a small charity, I like a challenge - it's keeping me very busy! I have been running bespoke mental health awareness, stress management and other business focussed training for employers for nearly 20 year and became an MHFA Instructor in 2009. I was convinced it would have a strong business application and have loved seeing the lasting impact that the range of courses provides for delegates. I am proud that my feedback from those delegates is overwhelmingly positive and I take pride in creating an exciting and active environment for learners. My background is in private sector recruitment and HR and I am also a fully qualified Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist. I have worked closely with Primary and Secondary Mental Health workers, GPs, therapists and schools, HR, OH and Employment Lawyers and I feel this gives me a valuable mix of clinical and business knowledge. I am regularly asked to advise business professionals on best practice regarding mental health at work. I also support people with lived experience to become facilitators and public speakers. My mission is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and make businesses healthier and more productive. I believe MHFA training achieves both of these goals. I run courses on a regular basis for my clients and on behalf of various training providers, including MHFA England.
