As a public diplomacy inspector in the Office of Inspector General at the U.S. State department, review procedures at U.S. Embassies around the world and for various Bureaus in the Department. Have made dozens of cost-improvement recommendations to save taxpayers millions of dollars. Advocate for broader use of social media both as a broadcast mechanism.

Moscow And Budapest

Created the yearlong celebration of U.S. culture titled “American Seasons in Russia” (see Google). Implemented a strategy to raise $2 million from over 60 U.S. and Russian companies in Moscow and persuaded the State Department's Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs to match these funds. The centerpiece was the performance of the Chicago.

Oversaw operation of the press and information office at one of the largest U.S. embassies in the world, with more than 30 U.S. media outlets in Moscow. Orchestrated media aspects of dozens of Presidential, Cabinet-level and other VIP visits. Advised USAID on IREX and Internews media contracts in Russia.

Established, as the U.S. government representative, in cooperation with representatives from twelve countries, a national inter-ethnic TV broadcast system in post-war Bosnia. The system was later privatized and still exists today.
