As a ceramics instructor at the University of Delaware, I taught students across various skill levels. This allowed me to explore ceramics from multiple perspectives and observe the artistic journey from discovery to mastery. I conducted specialized courses including alternative firing methods, providing students with in-depth knowledge beyond standard offerings. In addition to my teaching role at the University of Delaware, I managed the main studio, overseeing both ceramics-specific tasks such as kiln firing and glaze making, and administrative functions including staff management and finances. I have taught Fundamentals of Design at Cecil College, where I also served as Gallery & Studio Manager. In this capacity, I managed exhibitions, handling all aspects from scheduling and installation to reception and sales. I value my networking and communication skills which enabled me to effectively connect with outside artists, benefiting Cecil College’s artistic community.Currently I’m thrilled to professionally coordinate events at Snowden Overlook Community Association. Networking with vendors across the art, music, food and education industries to create an engaging and welcoming environment for residents brings me so much joy. I’m also proud to teach at Clay Coven pottery studio and the Chesapeake Arts Center teaching adult wheel throwing classes.
