I am a doctoral candidate in the department of materials science and engineering at MIT working on the synthesis and characterization of novel, high-performance nanocomposite materials through in-situ interfacial, hydrothermal, and sol-gel synthesis. I work under the supervision of Professor A.J. Hart in the MIT Mechanosynthesis group.Beyond my current research interests, I have broad experience with a variety of experimental techniques, from characterization to synthesis, involving both bulk and nanoscale materials. As an undergraduate, I explored 2D materials systems in the TMDC family (primarily binary and ternary tellurides like NbTe2 and ZrGeTe4) and the treatment of Kevlar fibers by hydrothermally-grown zinc oxide nanowire-based slurries.
