Leads are the bridge from the student staff to the professional staff. We meet regularly and are involved in department-wide orientation, organizing social events, and collecting assessment data. In addition, leads gather and report feedback from their individual areas. Semester:-planning unit training-giving performance reviews-partake in the interview and hiring process Monthly:-hold on-going training for venue manager and technical promotions-on-call for student staff-organization of storage rooms-formal/informal student lead recruitmentWeekly: -host office hours-meet with graduate assistants and professional staff-communicate with our mentee group members-email student staff-have disciplinary/follow up conversations with students-keep up with shift per week compliance-host student lead meetings Daily: -review daily activity reports-follow up on shift reports-supervision of student staff-checking the substitution system/updating signups-checking email-work shifts as needed-assist with scheduling/trainingEvents:-assist with maintaining the safety of event attendees-operate light, sound, and video equipment-assist in stagehand roles for events-set-up/breakdown event spaces -be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.Job Requirements:-be able to work independently-have a general knowledge of computers-the ability to work flexible hours-present a professional image-have strong written and oral communications skills.
