As a coach for a Pitchfork Aquatics I currently coach athletes, ages 4-13, proficient swimming technique, good sportsmanship, and water safety. My ultimate goal as a coach is to motivate swimmers to strive for regional, state, and national time standards while allowing them to fall in love with the sport.

As a FYS Coach at ASU, I served as a peer-coach for 135 freshmen students. I was able to act as a connector and catalyst for freshmen in order to ease the transition from high school to college and create academic and personal success. Additionally, I maintained an updated portfolio of students and was responsible for documenting all student interaction with the goal of increasing retention at ASU by 10%.

As a tutor and academic mentor, I was able to help a variety of Sun Devil Athletes achieve success in the classroom. I effectively communicated methods and assistance with academic projects while adhering to NCAA regulations.

As a Sports Site Supervisor I was responsible for the safety and well being of patrons and athletes at the YMCA. I had the additional opportunity to teaching patrons, mainly children, how to maintain a healthy active lifestyle while learning the skills and rules of basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball and baseball.

As a lifeguard I was responsible for the aquatic safety of patrons at the YMCA. I was required to remain calm and vigilante in emergency situations while by myself or working with a team.

I was responsible for informing municipal officials of how new bills would affect cities and towns and the daily happenings at the Capitol. Additionally, I had a front row seat when the League’s legislative staff lobbied members of the Legislature on behalf of municipalities.

As an ASU intern with the PEN Project I correspond with incarcerated individuals in the Arizona and New Mexico Department of Corrections to teach and help foster reading, writing communication skills of inmates. The goal of the PEN Project is to educate students about incarcerated education services and work to reduce recidivism rates.
