Monitor all equipment and instruments, including auxiliary and utilities machinery pertaining to the Alkylation unit (Sulfuric) and the Selective Hydrotreater unit, and the Heavy Naphtha splitter unit.Monitor all indications on the control board using various PCDs such as Delta V, Yokogawa, GUS systems. Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries following the preset unit operating procedures. Manipulate the chemical process using Digital controls, panel boards such as Panelview and other input devices to operate the process safely under established safe parameters. Make decisions on troubleshooting equipment and carrying out various troubleshooting techniques on equipment to ascertain and pinpoint exact issue. Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely as safely and efficiently as possible. Follow all safety policies at all times to prevent injury and ensure the finished product meets regulations for distribution to end clients and downstream equipment. Schedule and coordinate maintenance efforts if necessary using MS Dynamics, SAP and various internal processes to facilitate maintenance efforts to completion safely and effectively.Perform other administrative tasks such as complete End of Shift reports, Enter near misses and incidents into the Fountain Incident Management System and record lab sample test results.Determining chemical and physical properties, compositions, structures, relationships, and reactions of organic and inorganic compounds pertaining to the feed coming into the unit and adjusting operating parameters to effectively, efficiently and safely allow unit to process the feed without any upsets. Using chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques to ascertain different feed compositions and run the Alky unit accordingly.

Perform Daily sensory rounds an all equipment. Escalate any issues to Maintenance coordinator.Write permits, job safety analysis reports (JSAs) and perform joint jobsite inspections with crafts and contractors. Take chemical samples and perform tests to ensure the process is operating within established safety limits. Gas Chromatograph, TOC percentages, Sulfuric acid strength Tests, Caustic strength tests, and Infrared and conductivity tests.Examine chemical processing machinery pertaining to the Alkylation unit daily to identify damages or erosion, making note of any instances and creating notifications and work tickets in SAP to begin the process to allow maintenance to begin repairs after all safety checks are completed. Perform housekeeping duties at the end of every shift, ensuring the machines are clean and there are no LOPC (Loss of primary containment) events or any environmental issues. Monitor and record all data (Pressures, Temperatures, Levels and status of equipment) pertaining to the Sulfuric Alkylation Unit and attached tank farms.Preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests and advising and coordinating test procedures.Maintaining laboratory instruments, troubleshooting malfunctions, and purchasing new laboratory supplies.Evaluating and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.
