After many years working in the steel industry on Teesside Ian took early retirement in 2009 and used the opportunity to follow his passion for photography more comprehensively. To this end he studied for BA Photography at Cleveland College of Art & Design, which he completed in 2013Throughout his studies Ian chose to specialise in photographing products and food as he takes pleasure in the need for attention to detail, precision and control. He also enjoys the challenge of constantly needing to produce more exciting and contemporary images for an evolving, exciting market.Since completing his degree Ian is enjoying creating images of a more diverse range of subjects, both in his studio, where he continues to shoot food and product and the wider environment, exploring portraiture, landscapes and wildlife in and around his North East home as well as further afield.
