Controls the procurement of raw materials, time scale identified in MRP. Checks the accuracy of orders before issuing to suppliers.Analyses firm customer requirements and produce a workable plan for his product.Determines the method of supply, based on demand, stock available, production requirement as well as supplier delivery performance. And allocate relevant special costs (if needed) accordingly.Determines over deliveries & negotiate with supplier accordingly. (Return or Scrap).Attend relevant meetings regularly.Continuously provide relevant information to superiors and peers in an accurate and understandable manner.Analysis of customer schedules.Regular communication with Logistics Department seeking prioritization of raw material release from consolidation centers.Ensure that, additional freight costs due to customer schedule change to be brought to the attention of the customer.Additional freight to be monitored and reported.Calculation of policy stock within raw material warehouse, to maximize the effectiveness to react to Customer change.Responsible for meeting the customers build schedule.Monitor supplier's delivery shortfalls and take necessary actions to resolve. Detailed comparison of previous schedule quantities.Prepare periodic statistical reportsUnderstand the impact to the business of schedule fluctuations and the knock on effect in terms of material coverage.Run in Run out changes are to be controlled ensuring the customer is fully aware of potential liability being incurred.Ensure that all liability information is collated and made available for claim in proper time.Monitor and maintain key performance measures e.g. monitors supplier delivery performance.Set objectives, prioritize and allocate resource to meet targets
