Project Manager for Design, upgrade and Maintenance of Marine works at five coast guard stations

Reviews and coordinates with head of design section all structures re-designed initiated by contractor or due to field requirements. Reviewed the calculations and shop drawing for all steel works. Reviewed the calculations and shop drawing for post tension design, Hollow core slabs, & precast concrete façade. Reviewed the calculations and shop drawing for Glass/ Aluminium façade. Ensures that works are carried out in compliance with the latest structural drawings. Ensures that the structural drawings are in line and coordinated with other discipline design drawings for the project prior proceeding with structural work and to highlight to the project manager of any discrepancies for necessary corrections. Inspects site for structural works and makes sure that carried out works are in compliance to contract drawings and documents. Advises the Project Manager accordingly of any discrepancies. Conducts site visits to advise Project Managers of any field issues and attends any co-ordination meetings required. Conducts site inspections to ascertain standards of safety and structural quality are being met. Maintains job records, text reports and similar documentation. Liaises with all contractors on site, guides and instructs the site personnel to ensure high quality as necessary Attends to any other structural-related work activities/issues at sites. Report Health Safety Environment violations, identified hazards and its risk of getting harm, accident and incident, near miss incident and any HSE matters that requires further attention and action, to the Project Manager and RE/CE/HSE. Participation and compliance on all Health Safety Environment programs being implemented. HSE awareness for emergency action plan and duty of care. Any other duties required for the successful completion of works.

Main activities and responsibilities•Prepared complete structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete structures, reviewed structural design drawings, and prepared bill of materials for reinforced concrete structures.- Coordinated the structural drawings with both MEP and architectural drawings.- Review soil reports.- Specify design materials.- Follow international standard and codes.- Follow and implement municipality regulation and rules in the design drawing.- Develop the structural drawing during all design phases.
