Extensive research experience acquired over a 25 year period in wireless communications and digital signal processing demonstrated by numerous publications including a book, three theses, +100 papers published in scholarly journals and conferences, and several technical reports. I have co-supervised a number of master and Ph.D students and was actively involved in four research projects performed under contracts with the European Commission, Communications Research Centre, and Defence Research and Development Canada. In addition, I received three academic awards. Extensive teaching experience accumulated over an 25 year period at different overseas universities in various areas of electrical engineering including digital and wireless communications, electromagnetics, antennas, digital signal processing, coding and information theory, microelectronics, electrical circuits and electronics, computer networking, signals and systems, logic gates design, mathematics, probability and random processes, control systems, microprocessors and microcontrollers, computer programming, and computer engineering.Extensive administrative experience as a faculty member and a department chairman including membership on many committees such as college advisory broad, institutional re-accreditation, college council, curriculum, quality assurance, research, student affairs, and recruitment. As a department chairman, I have led my department to accreditation. I have participated in writing many departmental and institutional reports such as annual and self-evaluation and assessment reports.Leading a team of faculty members to design a new electrical engineering program at Prince Sultan University. Research Lab. Leader: Smart System Engineering Lab at Prince Sultan University. Experience on Engineering Education: I published a paper on course and program learning outcomes assessment, resulting from the accreditation work.
