Responsible for providing technical support to the project management team for construction supervision of the restoration works on National & Regional highways, Feeder roads, bridges and drainage structures damaged by 1998 flood. The work involved re-construction, strengthening, repair and surface treatment by bituminous materials of National & Regional Highways (320 km), Feeder Roads (540 km), bridges (12 Nos.) and drainage structures (42 Nos.). Prepare standard bidding document based on FIDIC/World Bank conditions of contract including Bill of Quantities and costing of various roads and structure contracts. Prepare draft Invitation for Bids (IFB), Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Contract Agreement and Possession of Site for various contracts. Prepare bid opening statement showing the name of bidder, quoted rates and bid security on the date of bid opening. Preliminary check, analysis and detail evaluations of bids and recommend award of contracts. Prepare various technical reports such as, monthly progress, quarterly progress, progress during the visit of World Bank Mission, contract completion and financial aspects of project. Prepare technical and financial proposal of consultant services for infrastructure development project.

Responsible for providing technical support to the construction management team for the construction of 35 km long (2-3 lanes with separated carriageway) elevated expressway (including 15 km at grade) projects in greater Bangkok under a Design – Build and Turnkey Contract, valued about US$ 500 million. The work involved construction of elevated post-tensioned bridge decks between piers that were supported on piles and some 15 km at Grade Roads, including ramps and 5 interchanges. Check geometric design, setting out data and working drawings for various types of crosshead structures, column heads, portals, transition cross-heads, abutments and special structures for pre-cast concrete I-Beam supported & segmental deck system on the mainline and on/off ramps at the interchanges.

Bangladesh

Responsible for planning, design and construction monitoring of small-scale water resources development projects. The work involved preparing more than 100 feasibility reports on water resources development sub-projects, design of hydraulic structures including bridges and implementation of the sub-projects throughout Bangladesh. The work, with a total value of US$ 36.0 million, was divided into several hundreds separate contracts (LCB) and was executed by local contractors.Prepared feasibility reports on several rivers under the De-silting of Medium and Minor Rivers Program. The studies included hydrologic analysis, assessment of hydraulic capacity of existing bridges on the rivers and backwater computations by a software HEC-2.Reviewed bidding documents and analyzed bid evaluations for numerous contracts for acceptance. Monitored and evaluated progress claims in accordance with Development Credit Agreement. Maintained liaison and made correspondences with Bangladesh Water Development Board (executing agency) engineers relating to the implementation of the sub-projects. Participated in the preparation of monthly and quarterly technical reports.
