With over twenty years of dedicated experience in physiotherapy, musculoskeletal health, orthopedics, and public health, I am a passionate PHD Fellow at La Trobe University. Currently immersed in cutting-edge research, my focus lies in addressing the global challenge of low back pain—a prevalent and costly condition affecting millions worldwide.My doctoral project revolves around the exploration and evaluation of a groundbreaking Specific Treatment Of Problems of the Spine (STOPS) intervention for low back pain in primary care settings. Utilizing a individualised mixed-methods approach and a participatory action research framework, I aim to contribute valuable insights to enhance the effectiveness and feasibility of interventions in this critical area.Beyond my role as a PHD Fellow, I actively engage with the academic community as an esteemed editor and reviewer for reputable journals, including Public Library of Science (PLOS) and Elsevier. My commitment to advancing knowledge is reflected in the publication of multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, covering topics such as low back pain, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and the intersection of physiotherapy with the challenges posed by COVID-19.My contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by several awards and grants recognizing the impact of my scholarly work. Through my various roles, I am driven to disseminate high-quality evidence and best practices to a broader healthcare and research audience.
