The main objective was to enhance and support the existing functionality of provisioning. It’s an automated role based application provisioning and de-provisioning solution that aims to provide employees with timely, secure and appropriate access to the business critical applications they need to perform their job role. This is achieved by using the concept of a ‘role’: the logical job function that employees perform is mapped to a set of specific applications (and the system privileges on those systems) that this function requires. Roles are defined within Application itself, according to Client’s business rules.
