PLC, Addis Ababa, EthiopiaKey Duties & Responsibilities:o Preparing financial statements and reports for company management.o Monitoring purchases, sales, general ledgers, cash book, bank reconciliation statement and cash flow forecast.o Monitoring and approving supplier payments on a regular basis.o Follow up and control the capital expenditure budgets allocated to the business unit.o Provide Internal Control, ensure compliance with all Group Policies & Procedures and assist departments in running their businesses.o Analyze and follow-up of all management and financial indicators.o Prepare analysis and recommendations on monthly financial figures from business units compared to budget and last year and issue reports as required by the management.o Support monthly closing process, preparation of journal entries, compilation of financial statements and analysis of financial activity.o Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of business, finance, and economic theory, to drive continuous improvement of financial reports and to evaluate their impact on the business

o Liaison with company auditors and engaging in audit processes.o Accepting responsibility and accountability for the audit work performed on assigned projects.o Handling of accounts upto finalization of many small size trading businesses.o Safeguarding all files/records that have been entrusted to the Auditor’s possession.o Collecting and examining financial records to ensure that they are current and to make sure that the entities abide by pertinent laws and regulations with regard to their finances.o Ensuring that audit findings and recommendations made during the course of the audit are promptly communicated to management.

o Preparing financial statements and reports for company management.o Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.o Analyzing revenue and expenditure trends and recommending appropriate budget levels and ensuring expenditure control.o Maintaining purchases, sales and general ledger, cash book, bank reconciliation statement and cash flow forecast.o Preparing and executing monthly payroll, annual leave, overtime, gratuity and other employee benefits.o Processing and ensuring all accounts are reconciled on monthly basis.

o Examining accounts of 4 companies.o Using ratio analysis to evaluate the financial position and performance of the companies.o Identifying any problems or risks to the business.o Making recommendations for improvements.o Reviewing and reporting to the audit manager on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial information that is provided to the management.
