As a project engineer for a skid packager for an FPSO project by Petrobras (main contractor - Seatrium Limited SG), my main task is assisting Project Manager in discharging his duty and steering the project team to stay on project scope to avoid any scope creep that can hinder cost effectiveness and delivery of the project. I was also tasked with resolving work execution related issues and managing risks through early discussion with the client to avoid any impediments before they occur. This was done through facilitating discussions and bring together the team member to extensively discuss with the client pertaining to work scope and project requirements during which acceptance criteria is defined based on the contract requirement and these criteria became the basis of procuring equipment and components. Engaging in good communication and building good rapport with the client and vendors to foster strong relationship ultimately ensuring stakeholders are well informed on the progress and impediments faced by the project. Participating in weekly progress meeting with the client and presented area of concerns that require client suggestions and interventions. Ensuring project progression is in line with project schedule plan. Monitored the project progressed according to Scope Management Plan. Any deviation is recorded & took action by initiating Change Notice/ Variation Order to the client.

As a Project Manager and Company Site Representation main task was to manage stakeholders, building good rapport with clients and strong relationship with Vendors. The task also involves inter-departmental coordination between engineering/procurement and construction to deliver equipment according to equipment installation schedule. Strategically design vendor mobilization plan to ensure seamless integration between vendors from various systems. In addition, I also manage manpower coordination and planning to ensure manpower loading is according to timeline to optimize manpower cost versus project progress. Furthermore, I am also entrusted to managing the record of change for project claim and cost optimization.

Assisted Project Manager in discharging his duties under New Air-Compressor Project at Petronas Gas Berhad's Gas Processing Santong plant such as manpower coordination, vendor mobilization coordination and also handled management of change. Acted as interdisciplinary coordinator and bridging the gaps between different department within the project. Perform negotiations with vendors to the favor of the project to ensure timely mobilization and the most economical equipment supply. Extensive dealing with clients to ensure that project and contract is managed within the stipulated scope and any dispute between company and client is dealt with in amicable manner. Preparing deliverables and presentation slides for top management meetings.

Involved in expanding the company's account by visiting potential clients, further follow up for business development, introduced company services and persuaded prospect to subscribe to our services. Some of the tasked involved coordinating meeting, response to clients' inquiries and matter related to energy management service, and energy monitoring system among others. Conducted clients energy consumption analysis on weekly basis to determine irregularities in plant operation.

Acted as Assistant Site Manager for Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant 2 Warranty Shutdown and responsible in matters related to project especially when dealing with Japanese clients. Conducted site coordination with other contractors to avoid overlapping of work. Delegated teams of workers for the tasks at site. Performed daily schedule & plan update to Japanese clients and ensuring project progressed according to set milestones.

Acted as Assistant Site Manager and responsible in matters related to project especially when dealing with Japanese clients at Bintulu Site. Actively involved in planning & scheduling for Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant 1 Warranty Shutdown in Chiyoda Corporation Headquarters in Yokohama for 3 months. Conducted site coordination with other contractors to avoid overlapping of work. Delegated teams of workers for the tasks at site. Performed daily schedule & plan update to Japanese clients and ensuring project progressed according to set milestones.

Led first response team at site for Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant 1 Project after pre-commissioning has completed. Provided immediate support for any mechanical equipment troubleshooting at site. Responsible for equipment maintenance planning and site preparation and ready with on-site solution for any problem arises. Assisted and coordinated with vendor supervisors for equipment setup and troubleshooting at site.

Responsible for mechanical equipment pre-commissioning planning for Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant 1 Project. Conducted pre-commissioning activities for several packaged equipment by conducting site preparation, coordinating with other discipline, assisting QA/QC team for inspection. Responsible for Punch List clearance. Delegating multiple groups of workers for simultaneous pre-commissioning work at site such as pipe flushing, pump test run.

Overseeing the erection of package & mechanical equipment for Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant 1 Project. Conducted erection planning & supervising at site. Performed site modification for equipment with any mismatch. Delegating multiple groups of workers for several tasks and erection work simultaneously. Person in-charge for reviewing erection and lifting work planing done by sub-contractor and subsequent permit to work (PTW) application for each day.

Involved in engineering design phase of Tokuyama Malaysia Polysilicon Plant, ensuring interface consistency between multiple disciplines. Performed technical evaluation and clarification of the equipment to ensure project design standards are met. Evaluated Factory Acceptance Test Procedure and performed FAT & inspection at fabricators shop to ensure design parameters met the actual equipment.

Wrote test module programming code for the team to run simulation, debugging and finding solutions related to image interlacing for Canon Inc. Translated technical manual from Japanese into English and prepared technical manual in English.

Underwent advance Verilog HDL programming training program specializing in video interlacing and simulation running. Designed own test module for own coded program and ensure the code is correct by running simulations.

Underwent intensive beginner training course for Verilog HDL programming that includes basic logic construction training for programming. Wrote simple programming code for elevator that corresponds to actual button push.
