Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Director of one of the largest multicultural multilingual health and human service agencies of its kind in North America. In 2013 Hamdard became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) now known as Hamdard Healthcare, offering comprehensive behavioral health and primary healthcare services. Hamdard also operates Adult Day Services for seniors at its Chicago location and runs its own DV shelter facility in one of the northwestern suburbs. Hamdard is an approved site for training and internship programs for Master's and doctoral level student from various universities in the greater Chicago area. Provide over all coordination and supervision of administrative and clinical activities of center's major programs and services: domestic violence, behavioral health, primary healthcare, adult day services for seniors, etc. Prior to founding the Hamdard Center, worked as the administrator of a 250-bed community psychiatric facility in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, and directed 300 employees. Also been in private practice for 2o years. As consultant, developed comprehensive behavioral health program for Bosnian refugees; served as an examiner for the illinois Department of Disability Determination Services; published numerous articles and/or made presentations at various academic and non-academic conferences. Specialization: cultural diversity in health services, assessment and evaluation of forensic clients, bio-feedback and stress management.
