Engineering Manager
CurrentAreas of Accountabilities:•Management: Manage in-house and outsourcing engineering, multi-disciplinary engineering management. Delegating tasks to the team members. Oversee, lead, manage, and provide day-to-day direction to a team of engineers. Manage contract engineering and design resource requirements in line with contract needs. Directing and monitoring progress for the timely engineering deliverables. Monitoring projects with respect to Cost, Resource Deployment, Time over runs, timely execution of projects. Implementing industry best practices and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and the Environment to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.•Coordination: monitor the compliance by all engineering parties involved in the project i.e. engineering subcontractors, client, project consultants and local authorities. Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant's engineering activities and compliance with contract, project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best practices. •Drawings & Technical Documents: review and endorse technical submittals (drawings, reports, specifications…etc) prepared by engineering subcontractors and project’s engineering & drafting team for client approval. Conducting staff meetings and training sessions. Reviewing/approving of drawings, documents, project review meetings for evaluating progress.•Schedule & Budget: Ensuring that the projects engineering are completed on time and within budget. Manage assigned engineering staff including recommendations on hiring, evaluating performance, assigning works, assist in setting department accountabilities and objectives. •Policies & Procedures: oversee and lead the engineering works by contracts engineering and design team in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Ensure documents and drawings are carried out correctly in accordance with standard formats and quality procedures.
