• Achieve cost leadership by ensuring that all raw materials are bought / Procured efficiently (best price, best product).• Maintain professional and ethical relationships with external suppliers.• Work closely with the operations managers and buyers to meet with them at least once a month for accurate and up-to-date material requirement planning, forecasting and qualify and qualify issues with suppliers, process, delivery, quality then apply immediate remedial actions.• Achieve all times 100% Purchases below market index per the available and subscribed market information/intelligence.• Introduce alternative suppliers/products that augments/replaces existing raw materials and obtain a measurable improvement on cost/quality availability and/or mitigate risk.• Research and forecast markets every day.• Manage and train the purchasing team to ensure process efficiency and optimization, in order to drive improvement in purchasing & Sales effectiveness.• Develop and review purchase requests ensuring authorization, as necessary, to facilitate the timely purchase of new products.• Monitor supplier quality and efficiency relative to spot bought material.• Coordinate and perform technical / commercial evaluation when required.• Administers bidding process and contracts for vendor performance/compliance within established limits for the purpose of securing items and/or services within budget and in compliance with regulatory requirements.• Reviews purchase order claims for conformance to company policies.• Liaises with Accounts Payable Department on weekly basis to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.
