Designed and implemented an information retrieval and classification system for sentiment analysis on Twitter. Crawled tweets on user’s timeline from Twitter API, and extracted JSON responses using the Requests module. Cleaned, parsed, and segmented tweets content: counted the most frequent words and hashtags associated with each emotion and discovered influencers and communities. Achieved 85% accuracy in classifying tweets into six emotion categories, and identified the top 10 influencers for each emotion based on their followers and engagement.
