Responsible for assessing the design, production and in-service aspects of engineering assets of Lloyd's Register's marine clients, using procedures, experience and knowledge appropriate for complex and demanding situations. Perform complex assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements. Discuss and present deliverables with the external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.

Key responsibilities were to optimise the experimental set up and instrumentation for high precision tomography measurements at the Swiss Light Source Synchrotron, which included the design and dimensioning of compliant mechanisms and market survey and selection of commercial robots.
