The making of Legends Gymnasium required me to use a great deal of my construction knowledge and skills due to the building needing extensive re-development.Renovations undertaking comprised of:- three phase electrical supply installation, also the complete rewire of the premises involving new distribution boards, installation of cable trays and lighting systems. - installation of commercial grade heating system involving steel pipe fitting and fabrication works.- creating a temporary onsite workshop to manufacture a bespoke made to measure reception counter, wall panelling and display units.- extensive roof repair which also involved some structural repair, strip and refit of a three layer torch on SBS mineral.- external windows and doors fitted with electronic roller shutters.- construction of changing rooms comprising of wet room floors and associated foul water drainage, electrical works and tiling. - structural repairs to flooring within the studio requiring new joists steel support hangers manufactured specially for this purpose. Further structural works comprised of installation of new steel beams above door openings.- installation of security systems included cameras, alarms and security flood lighting. - integrating and networking all computer systems and access control system. - installation of audio and visual systems.- Assembly, installation and commissioning of gym apparatus. - installation of 100 square metres of wood flooring to create our dance studio. -fitting of bespoke banners (with iconic sporting figures) onto a purpose built made to measure 8m x 2.5m steel frames.
