Lead the development of category strategies and strategic sourcing for the relevant category/categories to optimize total value, meet requirement deadlines and ensure compliance. Deliver cost savings, quality improvements and risk mitigation through management of strategic procurement activities for the relevant category/categories. Lead the engagement with category stakeholders and vendor management team for the relevant category.

· Manage and coordinate the sourcing and procurement of key raw materials – ethanol and purified terephthalic acid (PTA) – aligned to the production plan requirements.· Deal with the tendering process including communication with vendors, soliciting and obtaining quotations, negotiation of prices, creation of purchase orders (PO) and follow up of deliveries.· Manage the entire cycle from finalization of deals through payment to receipt and accounting of supplies as per agreed terms and conditions. · Review and verify invoices submitted by suppliers ensuring accuracy and compliance with PO terms and liaise with the treasury department to create letters of credit (LC).· Deal with vendor management including prequalification and registration of suppliers and periodic evaluation of supplier performance. · Track market prices of ethanol and PTA through ICIS and/or IHS databases and provide strategic inputs for procurement at optimum prices.· Monitor and manage inventories of ethanol and PTA ensuring maintenance of optimum stock levels as per approved company parameters.· Ensure compliance with all applicable company processes, policies and procedures as well statutory regulations related to sourcing and procurement.· Maintain all required records and produce periodic management information reports covering inventories, prices and market intelligence.

· Developed and implemented plans for sourcing of feedstock like propane, ethylene, propylene, rich gas and nitrogen from suppliers including Saudi Aramco, Tasnee, Sipchem and SABIC Gas in KSA· Prepared plans for sourcing of various types of packaging materials including FFS bags, wooden pallets, shrink wrap films, stretch hoods and inks.· Coordinated with suppliers and ensured on time in deliveries of all planned shipments of feedstock and packaging materials.· Verified and processed supplier invoices for payment after reconciliation with order details and receipt documentation.· Supervised the process of product handling from discharge from silos through packaging, stuffing of containers and dispatch to customers.· Monitored inventories of all feedstock items and packaging materials and generated purchase requisitions (PR) facilitating on time replenishment to optimum stock levels. · Managed all month-end closing activities in the SAP system covering feedstock and packaging materials

· Started working as a panel board man and progressed to positions of field operator, panel operator and senior panel operator in the DCS control room.· Monitored operations of plants producing direct reduced iron (DRI) using 2 processes – Midrex and HYL as well as various utility units including steam reformer to produce reformed gas (H2/CO), reactors with scrubbers, heaters & coolers for reducing gas & cooling gas circuits, water treatment systems for contaminated & condensate water and equipment cooling water, chemical addition & clarifier systems and cooling box system for natural gas pretreatment.· Supported smooth and safe unit operations by process control, adherence to process parameters and reporting of abnormal operations.· Maintained all prescribed records and logs and produced daily and periodic reports.
