Liaising with Principals, Master of vessel & Government departments for vessel berthing arrangements/other facilities. Prepare shipping documents likes Bills of Lading, export cargo manifest, Mate’s receipt & statement of fact.Coordinate daily shipping activities by maintaining good relationship with Principals, customers and shippers etc …..Follow up with suppliers for vessel requirements and provide competitive quote to client. Process documents for on/off-signers seaman and visit visas as per client request. Manage boarding representatives – allocating them to attend vessel(s) on arrival for vessel & passenger immigration formalities & medical assistance for on-board crew personnel, if any. Assign representatives to deposit original visas of crew personnel prior to arrival, meet/greet assist services, airport transfer and accommodation arrangements. Handle NYK line imports – submit manifest and discharge list to container terminals, issuing delivery order. Handled claim files (break-bulk vessels) – communicate with principal and claimant for final claim settlements.

Preparation of Performa / Final Disbursement Accounts and forwarding same to Principals in order to get Advance fund / Final remittance. Exchange control accounts as per the governing rules and regulations of Central Bank of Ceylon and submitting same enable to get renew annual shipping agency licenses. Reconciliation of Sri Lanka Port Authority (S.L.P.A) monthly statement. Prepare Port charges like Tonnage dues and Stevedoring charges to prearrange vessel berthing. Voyage wise job costing.

Support day to day finance and accounts activities. Preparation of invoices to customers and follow up receivables. Keep track of documents and routing them for approvals. Negotiate with suppliers for better rate / schemes. Reconciliation of A/C Receivable , A/C Payable on monthly basis. Preparation of reports e.g., inventory reports , management reports to the Board of Directors

•Overall responsibility of Principal’s accounting including receivables•Preparation of miscellaneous invoices•Monthly vessel wise costing and overall profit.
