"The rainstorm and the river are my brothers, the heron and the otter are my friends, and we are all connected to each other, in a circle, in a hoop that never ends." These lines from the movie Pocahontas inspired me greatly, given the experiences I have gone through in life. My efforts to recover from a chronic condition made me understand how I could recover and lead a productive life again. Thus I began to gain more and more expertise in the wellness field, and began to understand how our human body is actually a miniature Universe in itself, replicating the greater one, with everything in us interconnected in a microcosmic orbit. My experiences with acupuncture and herbal medication, Ayurveda from India, martial arts like Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu, weight lifting and nutrition, and learning how to balance all these allowed me to gain a higher attunement with nature. In addition to this, my love for animals made me seek and learn the style of Kung Fu called Hsing-i, which imitates animal movements. It is an old Shaolin saying, that when you learn to imitate God's creatures, you remove conflict from within your mind, and discover a harmony of body and mind in accord with the flow of the Universe. Thus a lot of my training is geared along the lines of imitating animal movements of the tiger, eagle, monkey, bear and others. I have black belt levels in all these martial arts. I have also been training in Israeli Krav Maga, which emphasizes a commando and special forces style of self defense. I have an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. I have volunteered for international student exchange organizations for 15 years now, helping teens from Europe and Asia come to the United States for a high school exchange year. I have found them host families and high schools and shown them around Boston and New York. I also have a passion for cricket and tennis since a young age.
