As an Advisor to Vice Chancellor, I was able to guide and enable Civil Engg Deptt to receive NBA accreditation for the first time. Initiated process for NABL accreditation (paper work is nearly complete).Started visits of students of Civil Engg Dept to project sites for practical training and better assimilation of academic curriculum. made a beginning by motivating faculty to start Mentor/ Mentee system between teachers and students, Need for revision of curriculum to align with industry needs and integrated training with industry in penultimate semester was presented to Board of Studies for approval ( expected to be approved in next meeting ). Impetus given to prepare students for placement by giving them practice on GD& PI. Show less
