Has thirty eight years of progressive experience and competency in financial and administrative management, organizational assessment, proposal writing, appraisal, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. Has high level of competency in situation and problem analysis along with formulation, analysis and evaluation of available options for problem solving. Has in-depth knowledge of the socio-political and development context in Nepal and South Asia having worked as team leader in more than 55 assignments and as an associate/team member in about 50 assignments. Has interacted with a wide range of stakeholders at the central and local levels. These stakeholders include, among others, political leadership, media representatives, consumer groups, users groups, representatives of people's organizations, civil society leaders, entrepreneurs in the private sector and civil servants. Has a strong understanding of issues around organizational development, governance, human rights, gender, social inclusion and how to support the participation of more marginalized and harder to reach communities. Has a robust track record with evaluations (strategic as well project level), impact assessments and strategy formulation having worked for the Government, bilateral/multilateral development agencies and international/national non-government organizations. In recent times, has been involved in many assignments related to the assessment of local governance particularly focusing on the state of public service delivery and the interface between service providers and receivers. Has worked with a variety of clients such as the Government of Nepal, Danida, Norad, UKAID, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Save the Children, Oxfam, Action Aid Nepal, UK & Denmark, Care, Practical Action, World Neighbors and many local civil society organizations.
