My responsibilities are• Initiating Request for Quotes from requisitions of Purchase, and issue Purchase Orders.• Use of AS 400 ERP system “AURORA” for Purchasing & Inventory management tasks along withMicrosoft Excel, and MS Access to create reports.• Suppliers follow ups and expediting of open orders.• Maintain and update insurance records of suppliers.• Maintain and update standard cost database of purchase products.• Monitor Inventory of purchased parts as per Min – Max criteria, and MRP report.• Work with the Manager to negotiate with suppliers for better costs and delivery and set upblanket contracts for long term and short-term requirements.• Work with the Manager to monitor job costs to not to exceed from budgeted costs.• File P.O.s and other related documents to appropriate locations.• Work with other team members from Engineering, Sales, and Plant personnel,• Work as per directions from the Supply Chain Manager.
