Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant As an operational officer for over 15 years. I brought many skills to the role through my extensive experience. I recognise as a leader that how I engage with staff will affect how they perform. The team I lead carried an investigative workload. My key responsibilities included:• Monitoring and assessing staff workloads in order to discuss investigation strategies with them. • Consider and assess threat, harm and risk to assess investigation strategies• Host daily briefings in order to address any issues and to clearly set the standard that I expect.• Using emotional intelligence to understand and get the most out of my team. • Coaching and mentoring. Inspiring confidence in my team to investigate crime effectively• Addressing complex and difficult issues in the local community, working with partners in the capacity of a sergeant and drive them to deliver.• Command and control as a supervisor in various deployments, including multiple warrants and public order events.• Problem solving • Project Management.• Managing various spontaneous critical incidents, utilising the Golden Hour investigate principles and the National Decision Making model (NDM). • Review recent crime and intelligence daily to ensure that I am able to deliver through my team. Key Achievements/Projects:• Managed and implemented several local policies following my analysis of performance in the borough of Surrey Heath which directly led to a reduction in workloads and an increase in detections.• Excelled whilst managing a team of officers in the borough Surrey Heath during 2018 and 2019. My team and I succeeded in being the team with the highest detection rate and the lowest workloads in the Division several months running.•. Single point of contact for senior management on the subject of protests whilst managing a team of Protest Liaison Officers successfully deployed at anti fracking protests and pride protests.
