Within my fist 60 days I attained review status and was tasked with weekly assignments reviewing peer work. I assisted with the development of our Kindergarten-2nd grade word problem content and managed a team of contract writers, screening 50+ unique scenarios per project and overseeing 2-3 projects per week. I reviewed and approved IXL’s 1,000+ skill alignments for U.S. high school math standards, which are available on the site today. As a first-year teacher I was tasked with creating standards-based units for my six different courses. The experience provided extensive experience with Common Core middle school math and science standards and how to translate a standard into a measurable objective and lesson for the classroom. I served a diverse student body, requiring thoughtful differentiation that pushed me to research and utilize online tools that could meet each student where he/she was at and support their unique needs.I also learned the value of data-driven instruction, utilizing NWEA MAP testing data to inform instruction and maximize individual student growth. As a freshman I was selected to design The Shirt 2013, and I served as the Committee's Vice president in 2014 and 2015. As Vice President, I helped design, author, and launch theshirt.nd.edu. In 2016, I served as President of the 15-student committee. The Shirt 2016 sold over 150,000 units and earned $728,000 in net profit; $24,800 of those profits stemmed from sales from the women's cut - which I had introduced for the first time in The Shirt's 27-year history. Day to day, I assisted with onboarding sessions for new hires, creating employee files for new hires, and the additional paperwork associated with hiring. I also created a Hiring Guide for my special project to assist new or struggling principals with hiring within DCPS. The Guide outlines the process, provides best hiring and interview strategies, and provides additional resources surrounding hiring. I met with different team members within DCPS Central Office as well as 11 DCPS school leaders in order to complete this guide, which is still utilized today. Show less

In addition to my daily responsibilities and care for my campers, I also taught swimming, water skiing, and archery and life guarded.
