The General Atomics summer project required the creation of a plan to integrate a tactical data link onto an aircraft. This involved research regarding the system itself and the requirements needed for the system to function. Other important aspects of the project included communication, creating a prototype, and drawing various schematics.

BNSF Railways Intern/Technology Services (Unmanned Aerial Systems) – Summer 2017BNSF Railways employs drones to collect data and monitor rail conditions, activity, and security. Monitored and participated in various UAS operations in Washington, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas as part of a 10-week project involving observing UAS flight demos by selected vendors, and then recommending aircraft and sensors that would best meet the railroad’s needs. This internship included an introduction to Pix4D mapping and railway dispatching, along with the completion of extensive PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet projects.
