My career as an educator began 28 years ago when I was hired as a 6th - 8th grade French teacher at Newfane Middle School. In the years that followed, I had rich experiences, such as becoming program creator/implementor for a new K-3 Foreign Language program at Newfane Early Childhood Center and Newfane Elementary School, Spanish and French Teacher at Newfane High School, the JV Cheer Coach and Modified Volleyball Coach. After completing my Masters Degree in N-6 Elementary Education, I was chosen as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Newfane Elementary School. After over a decade, I took the challenge of moving to 4th grade and spent 10 years as a 4th grade classroom teacher. Most recently, through the COVID years, I was selected to teach our fully remote fourth graders,. I then had the opportunity to come back to Newfane Middle School to become part of our current 5th grade team- truly full circle in the place where it all began! Through the years, I have commited to learn, grow and change along with the world of education. I am excited to take on new challenges in leadership, where I hope to make an impact and continue to learn and grow at the next level of educational leadership.
