Greetings! I’m Molly Wuebker, the Founder & Owner of Uncurbed – a company that combines the foundations of occupational therapy and design thinking to improve access to and participation in meaningful, human experiences. Due to an expansive occupational therapy career in clinical, community, and academic settings and experience as a content expert in universal and inclusive design, I recognize that accessibility means something different to everyone, takes many forms, touches all parts of life, and is not limited to meeting bare-minimum conformance results. I define accessibility as an enabler for human experience that invites innovation and expands opportunities for people with and without disabilities, both online and offline. For best results, a process that identifies and engages diverse perspectives early and meaningfully throughout the design of initiatives is essential and is referred to as co-design. My ability to identify the matches and mismatches between human factors and the built and social environments, collaborate within and outside of systems, and foster power and knowledge-sharing partnerships with businesses, community organizations, design professionals, academic institutions, and people with lived experience to create universally accessible solutions, makes me uniquely qualified to serve as a design partner.The services that I provide are all fundamental conditions of a universally accessible process and outcome:Accessibility Consulting: Includes technical assistance and guidance on minimal accessibility requirements to best practices on current and future projects, with special consideration on the user journey.Co-Design and User Testing Panels: Includes coordinating and managing inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) teams or user testing panels for businesses and organizations seeking diverse perspectives on a product, space, project, program, policy, or initiative. Co-Lab: Includes capacity building for businesses and organizations to enhance inclusion and sustainability. Co-Teach: We "practice what we preach" by using accessibility best practices to teach accessibility-related topics. These topics can be delivered in-person, online, or as a combination of both through presentations or workshops.Web Accessibility: Includes a web accessibility audit that follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) - the definitive standard for Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the de facto standards for the ADA.
